The second annual SHOP SHOW was held March 13-14 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, giving aftermarket industry manufacturers, suppliers and distributors a chance to convene. Formerly known as the Hotrod & Restoration and Restyling & Truck Accessories trade show, it focused on training regarding installation best practices, interaction with retailers, manufacturers, builders and restorers and educating about the latest aftermarket products.

Manufacturers Aplenty

Off-road aftermarket manufacturers attending included Rigid Industries, TruXedo Inc. and MagnaFlow Exhaust Products. “The show was not quite the size of last year’s because the hot rod portion of it was not here this year,” says Kathryn Reinhardt, MagnaFlow Marketing Manager. “MagnaFlow was primarily there to support our warehouse distributors that display at the show – Meyer, VSI, Motovicity and Motorstate.”

On Display

People who run fabricating shops had a chance to spend personal time with suppliers and vendors and products on display ranged from body armor to truck wheels. James Sanford, Product Manager at Lund International, was there displaying products from their brands including AVS, AMP Research, Rampage and the recently acquired Bushwacker. Products on display included oval bull bars with LED lights, an AMP PowerStep, Jeep accessories from Rampage and truck accessories from Bushwacker. Hammerhead Armor displayed products for Ford F-150s including front and rear pre-runner bumpers and sturdy, dimpled running boards with increased traction that mount to the frame of a truck.

Giveaways

“The Meyer Distributing booth was a hit with the giveaway of a truck as well as an UTV,” says Restyling & Truck Accessories Editor Anthony Bowe. Meyer Distributing displayed Jeep JK accessories including an Angry grille, a fiberglass cowl/heat extractor hood, and a Safari style roof rack for four doors. “Hexis wrapped a car in their booth and PendaForm had its Tailgate Pong product in the booth, which is a pretty fun product.”
