Your Truck & Jeep Accessories Superstore in Tulsa, OklahomaJuly 16th, 2015 by David Beran
What leaps to mind when you think of Oklahoma? The musical, Sooners football, the country song “Tulsa Time”? Picturing the Sooners settling Oklahoma in their covered wagons conjures the image of the first off-roaders to wheel the territory. Today, 4 Wheel Parts is keeping the Sooner spirit alive at its store in Tulsa by serving off-roading enthusiasts who flock to it for premium aftermarket parts for their trucks, Jeeps and SUVs.
Impressively, Oklahoma has more shoreline along its lakes than the Atlantic and Gulf Coast combined. Think about that. That’s a lot of lifted trucks pulling a boat or jet skis to one of the nearby Tulsa lakes and Warn winches rescuing rigs. And the place people trust to lift their rigs is 4 Wheel Parts.
“Besides, world-class lakes, Oklahoma is also home to some of the best off-road trails anywhere,” says Tulsa 4 Wheel Parts Store Manager Corey Marshall. “With areas like Disney, Clayton, The K-Trail and more, mild to hardcore off-road rigs are all over the state.” Some of the trails are described as lush like scenes out of Jurassic Park and while you won’t run into dinosaurs in the nearby quarries, many of the challenging sections will leave you just as scared as running into an angry T-Rex.
Whether owners are using their trucks and Jeeps for work or play, the 4 Wheel Parts store is a hub and a destination for the 4×4 community. When customers walk into the store they want to feel as if they are coming to see their friends and the Tulsa location obliges. “We greet a great deal of our customers by name and our number one priority is the relationships that we’ve developed with our customers,” says Marshall. “We want them to know we are going to give them the best deal we can with friendly and thorough service.”
The 4 Wheel Parts Tulsa store is heavily involved in the local off-road community. “A few of us are members of the local clubs and attend and support every event we can” says Marshall. Team members have watched and supported the club Jeepers Anonymous from the time there were less than 50 members to the over 600 members they have today.
According to Marshall, the local clubs have greatly supported 4 Wheel Parts Tulsa “And they fill our parking lot every time we have an event.” Events include annual in-store sales and holiday Toys for Tots donation drives. The location schedules Saturday meet and greets at the store and attends club outings at different restaurants along with supporting fundraising efforts for charities including Turn Tulsa Pink and the Little Light House School for children with special needs.
“Gaining the trust of all our customers, from the do-it-yourselfer to the customer whose vehicle is on the lift in our shop is always our number one goal,” says Marshall. The ASE-certified technicians are there to answer questions about specific 4x4s and always quick to offer advice about parts and accessories. Because the local off-roading is diverse and ranges from rock crawling to trail riding to bogging, the expert sales staff is peppered with knowledge of products from manufacturers like Rock Krawler and Bilstein to make adventures happen.
Disney, Oklahoma is the most frequented off-road spot in the nearby area and the lower Grand Lake area offers a vast rock crawling area below the damns, as well as some great trails that wind within the wooded area of one of northeast Oklahoma’s most gorgeous lakes. For off-road enthusiast of all experience levels, Disney is the happiest place on earth. “For the beginners, it’s a great place to discover just how capable your rig is, but there are also areas that challenge the most experienced rock crawlers,” says Marshall. Toward the southern part of the state, there’s Clayton, along with the overlanders’ paradise of The K-Trail. “The K-Trail winds throughout the ridges and peaks of the Kiamichi Mountains and can be enjoyed as a quick getaway or a multiple-day voyage.”
When customers need Pro Comp shocks that will perform off-road while they’re chasing Oklahoma twisters or truck tires to take on the area’s varying terrains, the Tulsa staff is at the ready. The store showroom is renovated to offer a wider selection of top-selling off-road products inspiring vehicles on display to help customers reimagine their own rigs. The seasoned staff collaborates with vehicle owners to make a visit to the store a unique experience.

Assistant Manager Mark Adams: Mark grew up enjoying the outdoors that northeast Oklahoma has to offer. Today, Mark ventures off-road in a 2013 Jeep Wrangler set up with a 4-inch lift and 35-inch tires. He enjoys camping on Skiatook Lake with his family or off-roading in Disney, OK.
