Riding at Dumont Dunes

March 30th, 2010 by admin

I’ve been blogging information about where to ride, but I haven’t included any pictures or details so I figured I’d fill in the blanks a little. Looking through my picture folders, I realized I need to take more pictures and you probably do too. Well, here are a few snapshots of good times in Dumont Dunes.

The first pic is taken on an off weekend. If you want to beat the crowd and have the dunes to yourself, skip the holiday weekends.

The second was taken on President’s Day 2010 from the top of Competition Hill, overlooking the campgrounds.

The next is a picture of what’s left of a boiler from an old steam locomotive we found while riding along the ruins of an old railroad track. The crashed rail is a reminder to buckle up.

The last pic was taken at camp at sunset. If you look closely, you’ll spot a little yellow truck…that’s mine 🙂
