2005 Ford F-250 Super Duty – Upgrades

March 11th, 2010 by admin

For my first blog (ever) I figured I’d start with something simple and familiar. Here are the upgrades I’ve made to my 2005 Ford F-250 Super Duty:

Coil Over ShocksThe stock radius arm suspension has been replaced with an 8″ Full Traction four link system with 2.5″ coil-over shocks up front and Pro Comp MX-6 reservoir shocks in the rear.

Road Armor Bumper, HID lights, XRC8 Winch A Road Armor bumper protects the Smittybilt XRC12 winch and houses an array of HID lights.

pro comp xtreme alloy wheels, pro comp xtreme all terrain tires Underneath, you’ll find a custom track bar keeping the Xtreme Alloy 20×9 wheels and 38.5×14.50R20 Pro Comp Xtreme All Terrain tires in line.

Amp Research Power StepsAmp Research steps help the vertically challenged into the leather interior crew cab.

Gale Banks Ram air intake, Banks iQ, Banks six gun tunerThe 6.0 diesel engine modifications include: a Gale Banks Ram air intake, intercooler, iQ driven Six Gun tuner, dual monster exhaust, egr delete kit, oil vapor separation, and ARP head studs holding it together to produce over 450 horsepower and 1000 ft/lbs of torque.

My plans for future mods:

  • G/2 4.88 Gears
  • Detroit TruTracs
  • Dyantrac Free Spin Kit
  • Hydraulic Steering by Off Road Unlimited

  1. How come you decided to go with a Smittybilt winch instead of a WARN winch?

  2. I went with the Smittybilt because it has a higher horsepower motor, and was a third of the price. The warranty is just as good, and availability is even better. Works great!

  3. That is a great picture!

  4. Thanks! It looks a bit different now, I need to update the pic!
