Edge Juice with Attitude Programmer

I have had the privilege over the last couple of weeks to test out the Edge Juice with Attitude and the new CTS unit on my 2007 Dodge Ram. The unit is a beta, or test, unit that is in the works at EDGE for the 24 valve Cummins.

Over the past couple of years I have bought, sold, and traded for different programmers in the search for the computer control unit that suits my needs for on-the-fly horsepower, torque, and best all-around fuel economy. Fuel economy wasn’t the first thing on my list because I am a realist. If fuel economy were a big issue, I would have bought a Pinto.

Let me tell you guys and gals that this is one impressive piece of equipment. Not only does it have 5 levels of available shift-on-the-fly power levels (6 if you sign up for the “HOT” level), but you have your choice of 3 to 8 gauge screen settings and a variety of background screens. The power gains at each level are unmistakable, making this unit just phenomenal. You can also attach a back-up camera to the CTS unit, which is a must have for these big crew cab trucks.

At 80mph the unit automatically switches over to the full 8 gauge sensor panel and gives you a warning signal that you have reached that speed. This is a full-color touch screen unit that looks great and performs flawlessly. And, by the way, as far as fuel mileage, I can’t guarantee what your experience will be but I improved from 14.5 around town to 17.2 mpg. On the interstate I improved from 19.5 to 22.3 mpg and I drive my truck like I just stole it!
