Gale Banks Monster Exhaust Modification

Another modification I did to the 2005 F250 6.0 was adding the Banks’ Dual Monster Exhaust. I chose Banks because of its clean look and clear, original sound.

The installation was fairly simple and straightforward. All the factory hanger locations were reused, and a bolt-on hanger was installed on the driver’s side. The system is a bit bulky and heavy, so I’d recommend getting someone to help you. Banks utilizes the factory catalytic converter and, while I cannot officially recommend removing the cat, it definitely helps lower exhaust gas temperatures and improves performance.

I did have one mishap though. The truck sees some pretty harsh treatment and gets taken off road regularly. After a particularly harsh weekend, I noticed the exhaust had cracked at a weld. After one phone call, the crew at Gale Banks replaced the broken part for free. While I cannot recommend you thrash your vehicle and expect Banks to fix it, they proudly stand behind their quality products and have excellent customer service.
